How insecure do you have to be to write some shit like that?! The article is all about how Pitt isn't an elite football program and how much better Penn State's program is. If you're that great (spoiler alert: you're not), you don't have to CONSTANTLY remind people that you are. Truly great college football programs like Alabama, Michigan, Florida State and Ohio State don't go around puffing their chest out talking about how great they are because they don't have to: there are tons of people out there who do the talking for them, and they go out on the field and kick ass to prove it. Penn State has been outright mediocre since 2009, when they went 11-2 and won the Capital One Bowl. They're exactly what I think of when I think of a middling college football program.
"But wait!" you might say. "The article above states that from 2011-2015, Penn State was subject to the toughest penalties in sports history!" Give me a fucking break. The person who wrote that article is delusional if they think that PSU's penalties after the Sandusky scandal were the toughest in sports history. Penn State's sanctions weren't, even the toughest in college football history. Oh, you had a two-year bowl game ban and lost some scholarships? SMU's entire football program literally was completely shut down. They had to completely restart their program from scratch. But God forbid you lose some scholarships because the coach who you guys worship covered up decades and decades of abuse of a ton of children.
So good for you, Pitt. You vindicated me. Would it have been nice if you scored two more points to cover the -4 spread? Yes. Yes it would have been. But hey, beggars can't be choosers, so thanks for shutting these losers up.
